Ibrahim Aziz - viola da gamba

Ibrahim Aziz is a viola da gamba player and baroque cellist. He was gold medalist at Trinity College of Music London (now Trinity Laban) where he studied under Alison Crum and Susan Sheppard. He is founder member of Chelys Consort of Viols and is a regular player with the Rose Consort of Viols and various other established period instrument ensembles. Often collaborating with artists from different genres, including classical, contemporary, experimental, dance, the visual arts and also actors and poets, Ibrahim's main interest however lies in the baroque and renaissance periods. He has performed in prestigious concert halls around the world and recorded with many ensembles and labels.
