Assemblée des honnêtes curieux

Assemblée, honours the spirit of the chamber series of the same name, founded by French Harpsichordist Jacques Chambonnières in 1641in Paris.

The delightful title of the series alludes to its wonderful soul, a group of musicians who are honest, inquisitive and curious, ever open and learning making music together and sharing with like minded people.

This programme focuses on music for baroque flute, viol and harpsichord and features works by Marais, Hotteterre, Philidor and Leclair, including some newly discovered and published Marais fore blute band continuo.
